Halftone Shadow
A comic-style drop shadow that looks printed in halftone dots.
Offsets the layer's shape by Angle and Distance, adds blur and spread, then converts it into halftone dots to make a shadow. Works directly on any layer with alpha, whether text or shapes. The shadow is drawn behind the layer, and the layer itself stays as it is.
Parameters
The same order as the Effect Controls panel. Hover (or tap) an item for its description. The sliders move too (the picture doesn’t).

Tips
- Turn Dots Follow Layer on when you want the dots to grow along with a text pop-in (Scale animation). Turn it off to keep the dot size constant.
- Raise Softness for a gradient halftone where the dots fade out toward the edge. Bringing the core density back with Spread makes it easier to balance.
- Combine Dot Shape = Line with Screen Angle for a diagonal hatched shadow.
